The Town Supervisor serves as the chief elected official and executive officer of the Town. Responsibilities include presiding over Town Board meetings, preparing and administering the annual town budget, and serving as the Town’s chief fiscal officer. The Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of town government, implements policies adopted by the Town Board, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Supervisor also acts as a liaison between the Town and county, state, and regional agencies, representing the community’s interests in broader governmental affairs. Additional duties include supervising town departments, managing town finances and records, and promoting efficient and transparent governance. The role requires a strong commitment to public service, fiscal responsibility, and long-term community planning.
The Supervisor Community Forum is held at the Byron Town Hall on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. This open forum provides residents with an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and discuss topics important to the community. Resident and community participation is both welcome and encouraged.
