The Town of Byron Assessor’s Office, led by Louise Passarell, is responsible for establishing fair and equitable property assessments for all real property within the town. These assessments form the basis for the distribution of property taxes, ensuring that each property owner pays their fair share to support local services such as schools, public safety, and infrastructure. The Assessor’s work is guided by New York State laws and professional standards to maintain accuracy and fairness in the assessment process.
Residents are encouraged to contact the Assessor’s Office with questions regarding property assessments, exemptions, or assessment review procedures. Louise is committed to providing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to help property owners understand and navigate the assessment process.
