The Town of Byron is continuing efforts to expand safe, reliable public water service through Water Improvement Benefit Area #1. This project is managed in partnership with the Monroe County Water Authority (MCWA), which oversees meter installations, account setup, and water service connections for participating properties.
Effective January 1, 2024, MCWA increased its meter and account fee by $20. This brings the total payment required for residents who have not yet made their payment to $260. Updated applications reflecting this change will be mailed directly to affected property owners.
Residents must submit payment to MCWA in order to have a tap and curb stop installed by the water district’s contractors. Timely payment ensures that installation work can be completed as scheduled and that you will be ready to connect to the new water service once it becomes available.
For additional details or assistance, please contact the Monroe County Water Authority or the Town of Byron offices.
