As your Byron Town Clerk, I am happy to announce that I am starting a Byron Hometown Heroes Banner Program. The program serves as a tribute to recognize service men and women from Byron who are currently serving or have been honorably discharged from service to our country, in a branch of the military.
The banners are 30″ wide by 60” tall. Each individual banner will honor a specific Byron service man or woman and will include his or her headshot picture, their name, and branch of service. Sponsors who may be friends, families, or businesses will pay for the Hometown Heroes Banners. Don’t have a service man or woman here in town but still want to show support for our military, no problem! I have selected an option that simply states “Town of Byron Honors Our Veterans”
Banners will be displayed on the telephone poles in the Town of Byron along the Main Streets from Memorial Day until Veterans Day 2026, and every year after for the life of the banner. Banners will be returned to the sponsor when it can no longer be hung, or by the request of the sponsor. * Please note: There is no guarantee as to the life of the banner but, all retired banners will be returned to the sponsor.
The cost of the banners and brackets in the program is $220.00 for sponsorship from friends, families, or businesses. This includes the banner, brackets to hang and display the banners and the shipping costs. I will be accepting applications for banners to be hung for the 2026 season until March 20, 2026. This deadline is necessary to have the banners in time to be hung by Memorial Day 2026.
Applications are available on the Town of Byron website or by emailing me at townclerk@byronny.com
Applications will be accepted until March 20, 2026 and will only be processed with a fully completed application, photo and a check payable to: Byron Town Clerk. Please write Banners on the memo line of the check and drop them off at the Town Hall or mail the information to:
